A World of Color

1. Visions of paradise, visions of spring.

Life can be such a wonderful thing.

FLOWERS and sunshine, snowflakes and dew.

Each day the world is created anew!

2. Wonderful colors in silver and gold.

RAINBOWS so beautiful to behold!

A world full of hues; green, yellow and blue,

with bursts of magenta, pink and orchid too.

When I think of color, my spirits lift high,

as light as the clouds that float in the sky.

3. The more colors I see, the happier I feel.

Each one fills my heart with such joyful appeal.

A very favorite pastime of mine

is a leisurely DRIVE when the weather is fine

4. Down cozy curved streets that have 
light studded HOMES

with everyone resting inside safe and warm.

I love to see flowers in a garden or yard,

uniquely designed with such color and charm.

5. Remember to thank Him as long as you live.

APPRECIATE daily and promise to give

some time every day to enjoy and to view

this marvelous world He has colored for you!

Do the Things You Enjoy the Most!

1. Do the things you enjoy the most.

Take delight in the things that you love.

You will experience JOY in your heart

and blessings from heaven above.

2. Sift everything causing pain and distress.

Bury them deep in the sand.

Focus on what is important to you,

especially the things you have planned.

Dust off the dreams you have hidden away.

Shine them until they all gleam.

Have FAITH that they will materialize.

It’s not difficult as it may seem.

3. SMILE at the problems that try interfering

with all of the progress you make.

A tree that refuses to bend in the wind

will certainly weaken and break.

4. Let each adversity strengthen your character

making you stronger and wise.

The outcome may be very favorable to you

and a quite unexpected surprise.

Keep your mind focused on things that you love

and the burdensome ones all will flee.

Your life will be filled with more sunshine and joy

and CONTENTMENT I think you’ll agree.

5. With your mind focused on things that you love,

the world will seem brighter by far.

SUNSHINE will bathe you in warmth, while its cheer
will escort you wherever you are!

Where Do You Seek Him?

1. Where do you seek Him?  
Is it in a summer’s BREEZE,

or in a flowing river winding 
past majestic trees?

Do you try and look for Him 
in peaceful moments when

you reflect inside your heart 
to find solace again?

2. You might seek Him on a stroll 
some lovely summer day,

when shining SUN and skies of blue 
wisp all your cares away.

Maybe you’ve discovered Him 
in others who are kind,

who through their loving help and care, 
increased your peace of mind.

3. Do you ever seek Him in 
the fire’s glow at night,

or in the stars that twinkle in 
the sky so sparkling bright?

I wonder if you’ve sought Him 
in your doubt or in despair,

or on the SICKBED of a loved one 
who desires your care.

Is He in the memories, 
of loved ones now deceased,

who while on earth enriched your life, 
and helped your worries cease?

4. I’m sure that some of you have found Him 
in a lovely flower,

while others in a mighty STORM 
displaying His great power.

Have you ever sought His lighter side 
in birds that fly,

or in your treasured pets, 
who their devoted love supply?

5.POETRY can be another source 
that might comprise

God’s messages of healing 
inspiration, I surmise.

Wherever you might seek Him 
you will find His wonder there,

for God is truly in all things, 
and present everywhere!

My Little Hummingbirds

1. We have some lovely hummingbirds, 

I hold in high regard,
that all flock to their feeder 

in our charming COZY yard.
As I sit on our front porch, 

they buzz and dash about,
in a state of perfect happiness, 

without a doubt. 

2. The tunes of song birds in the trees nearby, 

bring sheer DELIGHT,  
accented by a gentle breeze, 

and filtered beams of light.
Sipping on a glass of wine 

releases every care,
and in their wake a sailboat image 

buoyed by fresh sea air. 

3. Now focusing on all the lovely colored 

flowers and plants,
I watch their stems and petals 

as the breeze bids them to dance.
Ever silently and gently 

they humbly obey,
acknowledging that HAPPINESS 

swiftly dissolves dismay.

4. As the breeze heightens a bit, 

our flag now comes to life,
to remind me of our FREEDOM

and minimal strife.
Lovingly I pray God 

to protect us all our lives,
and in my heart salute the flag, 

which for our freedom thrives.  

5. For now I will ENJOY

the simple things in life a bit,
delighted by the hummingbirds, 

where I relax and sit.
