Let go and let God!

1. Let go and let God rule

the world every day.

Stop controlling people

by the things you do or say.

Lift all pain and sadness now

in prayer to God on high.

REST within His arms,

and solely on His strength rely.

2. RELINQUISH every burden

letting each one drift away.

Offer your desires

in a spiritual bouquet.

Let your memories of the past

with all its hurts dissolve.

Traveling light without a care

should be your firm resolve.

3. Let your worries go and let God

solve your every need.

Trust Him now implicitly

however you may plead.

See a rainbow in the sky

that promises your dreams

Will one day all come true and shine

like glistening moonbeams.

Lift your heart to God and feel

light like never before.

Sense your spirit rising

and your soul begin to  SOAR.

4. Let God stir within you

His refreshing breath of life.

Allow Him in your soul to have

His flame of LOVE ignite.

Abandon earth’s absorption as you

ponder heavenly things.

Receive the insights and the grace

that contemplation brings.

5. RISE up from rigidity

and melt restraint away.

Fly to all that’s holy, good,

and chaste without delay.

Let go and let God decide

and govern all the land.

Leave discernment and control

in His almighty hand!

The Eyes of Jesus

1. Each time I look into

the eyes of Jesus I can see

how very much He's reaching out

with HOPE and love to me.

His eyes are like two bottomless pools

of longing filled with peace,

and each time that I gaze at them

my cares and worries cease.

2. Two burning furnaces of LOVE,

they set my soul on fire,

and fill my heart with deep,

incomprehensible desire.

In them I see alluring fields

with lovely flowers that sway

in gentle breezes as their

rainbow colors they display.

3. Sometimes I see countless stars

all twinkling in the night

within His eyes reminding me

He'll be my guiding light.

At other times I see soft clouds

inviting me to REST

and image lying peacefully

my head upon His breast.

4. There really are no words

that seem to adequately describe

the depth and wealth of thoughts

that I desire to transcribe.

My fondest wish is that

my words will partially express

how gazing into Jesus' eyes

brings lasting HAPPINESS.

5. So in a quiet moment

try to pause and realize,

you'll find the depths of HEAVEN

as you gaze into His eyes!

"Let us fix our eyes on Jesus,

the author and perfecter of our faith,

who for the joy set before Him

endured the cross, scorning its shame,

and sat down at the right hand

of the throne of God."   Hebrews 12:2

God’s Love in Happiness and Tears

1. One night when I just could not sleep,

upset, I soon began to weep.

I  felt unloved, alone, betrayed.

My happiness and joy had strayed.

Instead of lingering in my bed

and letting thoughts enter my head,

I quietly stole down the stairs,

and brought with me my deepest CARES.

2. While the others were asleep,

I tiptoed down without a peep,

as in the darkness of the house,

I crept as quiet as a mouse.

Through windows looking at the night,

illumined by a flickering light,

I sat in darkness very still,

as PEACE my heart began to fill.

I felt my parents by my side,

although I knew they both had died.

3. With radiant smiles, sweet and true,

they said, “We’re here to COMFORT you!”

I smiled and thanked them for the love,

they shared with me from up above.

They said that things would be alright,

that God would give me heavenly sight,

So I would know the things that He,

ordained and had prepared for me.

4. I saw His gifts and heavenly plans,

were showered from His loving hands.

As I felt God smile at me,

I lovingly began to see

His hand in all my sadness too,

and all He planned for me to do.

As I began to write this poem,

I then no longer felt alone.

God showed me that when feeling sad,

His HEALING words would make me glad.

5. TRUST His love and thank Him too,

for gifts and trials He sends to you.

I realized God’s love appears,

not just in joy but all our tears,

in clouds and rain, darkness and sun,

at morning and when day is done.

Remember for your whole life through,

He has the best in store for you!

“I know the plans I have in mind for you”, says the Lord, “Plans for peace,

not disaster, to give you a future and a hope." (Jeremiah 29:11)

A Garden of Love

1. Nothing brings more happiness
in the world than planting love.
God then waters it with hope
and grace from up above.
The flowers that will blossom forth
will be so beautiful.
Each will be a VIRTUE
colored in a lovely hue.

2. The next time it is raining,
do not sulk or lie around.
Smile and plant a garden
where much gladness will abound.
On the rainy days
bring SUNSHINE into other lives.
Visit friends who grieve the loss
of husbands or of wives.

3. There is sadness in the world,
but do not be dismayed.
You can be a ray of sunshine
making darkness fade.
A little smile, a word of cheer,
can bring such longed for HOPE.
Every thoughtful gesture
helps your friends to better cope.

4. It is not so difficult
to bring a bit of cheer.
It only takes a moment
but could last throughout the year.
There are many kindly things
that you can say or do.
The HAPPINESS you give someone
will soon return to you.

5. If the day seems dreary
and some raindrops start to fall,
LISTEN closely, so within each one
you hear God’s call.
Dry a teardrop from each face
you meet along your way.
You’ll find that in your heart,
it truly is a wondrous day!

"Three things will last forever;
faith, hope, and love, but
th
e greatest of these is love."

A Poem For Every Occasion

1. A poem for every occasion,

my friend I have for you,

with every morning sunrise,

like freshly fallen dew.

INSPIRING words to settle in

your heart and make it grow

into a lovely flower with

a bright and lustrous glow.

2. Rhyming words that bring

a peaceful feeling to your soul,

can cause a calm serenity

to gently overflow.

Life can sometimes rob us

of our focus and our peace,

but HEALING poetry can help

to make our worries cease.

3. Problems can’t exist

if not permitted in our mind.

therefore, WHOLESOME substitutes

for worry we must find.

It may be difficult to concentrate

when we’re upset,

or try to find the right solutions

when we start to fret.

That’s the very reason why

a poem can truly be

a charming way that God might choose

to set our worries free,

4. Visualize your heart as blooming

like a lovely flower

attracting honeybees

with perfumed fragrances each hour.

Like bees sipping honey,

all the words of every poem,

will be your spirit's NOURISHMENT

so you won’t feel alone.

5. Sense that angels hovering near

are whispering a prayer

that all will be just fine

since God’s great love is always there.

Try and take a little bit

of my advice and see

how God can bring His healing LOVE

through words of poetry!
