The Christmas Miracle

1. The candles are all flickering,
and soft lights are aglow.
There is a hush of silence,
and everybody knows
that there will be a visitor soon
in red from hat to glove,
sliding down the chimney
from the rooftop up above.
He will look so JOLLY,
but be quiet as a mouse.
In his reindeer driven sleigh,
he'll visit every house.
The skies will light his coming,
as all the stars shine bright,
while Santa's sleigh and reindeer soar
and glide throughout the night.

2. Santa brings the children presents
every Christmas Eve,
to give them joy and happiness,
and help them to BELIEVE.
Most of them are cheerful,
and await him happily,
but some are sad and lonely,
are sick or in great need.
But Santa's not discouraged
since he knows who's in command.
The Lord who sends him sleighing
holds the world within His hand.
As Santa looks into the face of God
he knows its true,
there's so much love to spread on earth
and so much good to do.

3. He knows on Christmas morning
that all lit up will be
the faces of the children
around their Christmas tree.
They will LAUGH and shout with merriment,
and dance with glee.
Parents will embrace and
bounce their children on their knee.
Watching gently falling snow
through windows white with frost,
they'll say "You know, your Heavenly Father
is just like Santa Claus!"

4. Both are kind and caring,
loving unconditionally.
They are cheerful givers,
never tiring easily.
Constant in FORGIVENESS,
they search the lost in need.
They clothe the cold and naked,
and the hungry love to feed.
If you ever feel at times
you may have lost your way,
just thinking about Santa Claus
will brighten up your day.

5. Whenever it is difficult
to see God in your need,
you certainly will find Him
in every KINDLY deed.
In silence try to hear His voice
so soothing and so clear.
With His embrace just feel Him
melt away your every fear.
This Christmas as you gaze through
lovely windows white with frost,
keep in mind your Heavenly Father
is just like Santa Claus!

The Sun Is Always Shining!

1. The sun is always shining,
above the clouds, my friend,
where HAPPINESS awaits you,
at each colored rainbow’s end.
When skies are grey and spirits low,
you’ll find that if you try
within your heart you’ll find it
hiding near the clouds on high.
Peeking out a moment,
it will prove it’s always there,
hoping of its presence
you’ll be constantly aware.

2. If you sense its brilliance
in your heart, your soul, and mind,
happiness, CONTENTMENT
and true peace you’ll surely find.
Sunshine makes the darkest days
so bright and rich with joy.
It soothes our every sadness
as it fills each empty void.

3. When the dark clouds hide it
we should never feel alone.
We must picture just how brightly
it has always shown.
Sunshine melts our worries
and dissolves our every fear,
giving us assurance
that its HEALING warmth is near.

4. It has been created
by a God of power and might,
to demonstrate the victory
of daytime over night.
We must likewise have
the confidence that we will be
VICTORIOUS, as God
dissolves each problem easily.
Even though at first
we may rely on trust alone,
within His time God’s power
and His glory will be shown.

5. So when the sky is grey
because the clouds cover the sun,
it is always SHINING,
even when the day is done.
Then remember all the words
I’ve shared with you, my friend,
that happiness awaits you
at each colored rainbow’s end!

"The Lord bless you and keep you;
the Lord make His face to shine
upon you and be gracious to you;
the Lord lift up His countenance
upon you, and give you peace."
Numbers 6:24-26

The Country Mouse at Dawn

Marsha Santos Books Click Here

1. One morning when the little country mouse
rose with the dawn
she slipped into her soft and fleecy robe
with gentle yawn.
The SUN, barely awake, now seemed
to try its very best
to stretch its sleepy eyes open,
with a ‘smidgen’ of zest.

2. As the little mouse straightened
her comfy floral spread,
she imaged others that were still
tucked in their cozy bed.
It was comforting to have
her NEIGHBORS all nearby.
Just thinking of them warmed her heart
and brought a heartfelt sigh.

3. Life was pleasant in the country
where she loved to dwell.
The summer FLOWERS and winter snowflakes
caused her heart to swell.
She could feel God’s presence
watching over her each day,
with a Father’s love
and in an unconditional way.

4. The days passed peacefully
within her cozy warm abode.
She felt ever safe, as gifts
and graces overflowed.
SPRING was just a breath away,
with its delicate touch,
promising that soon, birds, flowers,
and sunshine would approach.

5. As the country mouse, slipped to
the kitchen quietly,
heating a roll, she perked some
fresh hot COFFEE cheerfully.
Then at the kitchen table,
she began to plan her day,
while nibbling, sipping coffee,
in the most delightful way.

Country Homes In Autumn

1. Country homes in autumn
fill my spirit with delight,
when the leaves are falling
and the sun is shining bright.
Pumpkins decorating porches
liven up the view.
Houses look their COZIEST
against the skies of blue.

2. Pets and children romping
in the crispy fallen leaves,
later rest or play with toys
beneath protecting trees.
Inside are DINNERS cooking,
while Mother bakes some pies.
which will make, when dad comes home,
a tasty sweet surprise!

3. Smoke curling from chimneys
seems to add the perfect touch
to warm and simple things we value
in our lives so much.

Family, home, and nature
very naturally combine
to form the perfect RECIPE
in life by God's design.

4. If you are ever driving
in a country atmosphere
toward the end of autumn
as the holidays draw near,
absorb the warmth and color
of every lovely scene,
and of the way they make
your heart and senses feel serene.

5. Bring these feelings with you
and then PLANT them in your home.
Watch them bloom
while you're with others,
or when all alone.
If at times in life you feel
that you have lost your way,
drive by country homes in autumn
on a sunny day!

A Windy Autumn Day

1. In autumn when the wind blows

and the lovely falling leaves
begin to DANCE and drift about
they skip on every breeze.
Some resemble butterflies
as they flit and fly.
Others look like birds that soar
so gently through the sky.

2. The sky may often change its mood

from clouds to shining sun,
remaining unpredictable
until the day is done.
Windy days remind us
that we must release control.
Then like leaves in flight,
we also will begin to SOAR.

3. The leaves do not decide

just where the wind will bid them go,
but trustingly ENJOY their journey
as they swirl and float.
On a windy autumn day
take notice of the trees.
Observe their branches swaying
and their playful rustling leaves.

4. They truly bring the world to life

with every twist and turn.
If we search for meaning
great CONTENTMENT we can learn.
They give praise to God
for their existence every day,
relishing their life
in such an unpretentious way.

5. On a windy day in autumn,

looking towards the sky,
marvel at the colored leaves
so gently floating by.
Feel the wind blow through your hair
and brush upon your face,
reminding you that you are wrapped
in nature's warm EMBRACE!

Leave It in God's Hands

1. Elections and economy
bring frenzy to be sure.
Panic and commotion
are the devil’s favorite lure.
Insecurity with things
that once were so assured
cause such doubt about
what we perceived was a SAFE world.
Scattered signs of candidates
on lawns rudely obscure
the brightly colored autumn scenes
where summer flowers once were.

2. People trying to convince
their neighbors what is best
might resort to arguing
as they pursue their quest.
Worried, worn, and frazzled,
some don’t know what they should do
or how they can restore the PEACE
and safety they once knew.

3. Let us cease from asking why,
and then on bended knee
PRAY, and leave it in God’s hands,
who knows best what should be.
Look at all the animals,
and birds up in the sky.
They never fuss or worry,
as they wander, swim, or fly.
But God supplies their needs,
as with the lilies of the field
that do not toil or labor,
and to God’s will always yield.

4. Do not tire yourself with things,
that you cannot control.
Let God plan the future,
as you watch His works unfold.
Then release your worries,
all your tensions, and your fear.
RELAX within the arms of God,
with faith that He is near.

5. Enjoy the masterpiece design
He’s set before your eyes;
a kaleidoscope of color,
upon earth and in the skies.
Then your calming spirit
will influence those on earth.
It’s only then that peace will reign,
and foster a rebirth.
RELEASE the burdens you are carrying,
deep within your soul,
and place them in the Master’s hands,
for He is in control!

Trick or Treat!

1. Pumpkins, ghosts, and witches hats,
clowns and cowboys and black cats,
Football players, majorettes,
kittens, dogs, and cuddly pets,
Dinosaurs and furry bears,
elephants and rabbit ears.
a fairy princess or a queen;
COSTUMES made for Halloween.

2. Chocolate bars and lollipops,
CANDY corn and lemon drops.
Caramel apples, good to eat, with children crying, “Trick or Treat!”

3. PARTIES, games, and family fun,
yummy treats for everyone,
Donuts and hot chocolate too,
served with a prize for best costume.
Trick or treating with good friends,
laughter until evening ends.

4. Later cuddled with a book
Mother reads in cozy nook;
Pirates, sailors, Peter Pan;
stories of a distant land.
Hugs and kisses late at night.
DREAMS of every sweet delight.

5. Waking feeling warm and snug,
greeted with a cozy hug.
MEMORIES of the previous night;
trick or treating by starlight.
Looking forward to next year,
when Halloween again is here.
Children dream while they’re asleep
the joy of crying, “Trick or Treat!”

Colored Lights

1. Gazing through an airplane window
at the darkened sky,
colored city LIGHTS all sparkled
from my view on high.
A beautiful array of colors
twinkling in the night;
every shade and cheerful hue
was shining in my sight.

2. Earlier while soaring up
through fluffy CLOUDS above,
I envisioned flying like a
peaceful white winged dove.
Once above the clouds
the sun was shining clear and bright.
I was almost blinded by its
piercing dazzling light.

3. NIGHTTIME now had fallen
and such peace covered the land.
With daytime tasks completed,
evening promised no demand.

4. I envisioned GATHERINGS
of people as they sat
enjoying special meals
and a quiet friendly chat,
sipping cocktails bright with color,
coffee, or hot tea,
by a fire, or with refreshments
near a shady tree.

5. Whether underneath the STARS
or in a cozy space,
the colored city lights would
warm and cheer most any place.
Some, enjoying music,
or a movie later on,
would settle down to rest a bit
before the day was done.
I enjoy recalling,
while soaring up so high,
the brightly colored city lights
I viewed down through the sky!

Escape From Your Problems

1. Escape from your problems most every day
when you are at home or while you’re away.
Go to your car, and then DRIVE around
into the city or a cozy town.
If it is a small town, relax with great ease
and let the surroundings refresh you with peace.

2. Notice how people don’t hurry about.
They try not to worry, to quarrel or shout.
When passing by HOUSES on your pleasant ride,
image what people are doing inside.

3. If you can see smoke rise from chimneys above,
visualize MEALS being prepared with love.
When choosing an alternate city instead,
enjoy the attractions to which you are led,
like colorful restaurants with tasty cuisines,
theaters, plays, and intriguing museums.

4. These are some things that can help us escape
from all of our problems when they escalate.
Pastimes like these bring expedient RELEASE
from worries, ensuring that they quickly cease.

5. If you cannot travel, I think you will find
that you can seek refuges within your MIND.
At times they are even more beautiful there
and only require you become aware.
So try to escape from your worries each day,
and you will be freed in a wonderful way!

“Whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable,
if anything is excellent or praiseworthy,
think about such things.”
Philippians 4:8
