The House Upon the Hill

1. There is a cozy little house upon a grassy hill, where every morning sunshine peeks in over the windowsill. GARDENS all around it bloom with lovely colored flowers, while growing them is time well spent in many happy hours. Yellow, red, and blue birds brighten up the scene still more, and on the porch a flower basket hangs by the front door.

2. The house inside is tidy decorated comfortably, so if you glance inside such homey sights you’re sure to see. Sitting on the KITCHEN stove a fresh baked apple pie, will be the very first thing that will surely catch your eye. Appearing so delectable before your very sight, the rich aroma will tempt you to want to take a bite!

3. In the dining room the table laid with antique plates, set upon embroidered cloth for guests happily waits. Beyond a lovely foyer that has cozy winding stairs, the parlor looks inviting with a charming couch and chairs. Lounging in the BACKYARD also has such great appeal, while sipping a refreshing drink or nibbling a tasty meal.

4. The upstairs bedroom WINDOWS furnish such a pleasant sight, since later one can view through them the starlit sky at night. Though neighbors might be distanced by some acreage of land, they all are very pleased to quickly lend a helping hand. If this sounds idyllic then I truly must confess, this house and its inhabitants most surely have been blest.

5. In life I feel the secret to obtaining happiness, is striving to live peacefully while minimizing stress. Making choices that create a calming ATMOSPHERE, invites serene and wholesome situations to draw near. If this is an approach you might desire now to start, just tuck a memory of this peaceful home within your heart!

Look for the Good in the Worst Situations

1. Look for the good in the worst situations, and you will find strength and great hope. Whenever you count all your blessings your GRATITUDE quickly will help you to cope. If ever you’re facing disturbing health issues, thank God you’re not starving to death, like those who are living in destitute countries, or some who are suffering great threat.

2. When humiliations oppress you envision your Lord Jesus nailed to the cross. His willingness to rescue us all from damnation was accomplished at such a great cost. If ever you feel alone or abandoned remember your Father in HEAVEN. Reflect on how He unconditionally loves you in spite of your every transgression.

3. Each time that you feel unattractive or worthless recall those who’ve lost arms and legs. Or ponder the homeless in search of some warmth, and a place that they might rest their heads. I’m sure you have reached the conclusion by now to find gratefulness in every trial. If you offer them up for your loved ones, you’ll find God will RECOMPENSE you in a while.

4. One of the things Jesus taught us on earth by His cross and divine ministry, was predestined loss for the reprobate but for one’s Godliness pure ecstasy. Let us together be grateful for all of God’s blessings from greatest to least, so we will rejoice at our life’s culmination and join in His heavenly FEAST!

5. I am firmly convinced that we will look back and regret every ungrateful word, as fully we realize the graces and dazzling MIRACLES God had conferred. Do not delay any longer to praise God for crosses and adversities, then offer them up to Him for your transgressions, and all of your infirmities.

“Surely, He took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered Him punished by God, stricken by Him, and afflicted.  But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on Him, and by His wounds we are healed.  We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way; and the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.”  Isaiah 53:4-6

The Contented Country Mouse

1. I never seem to hear enough about the country mouse, who lived her life contentedly within her cozy house. All day long she puttered in her GARDEN and her home, while the joy it brought dissuaded any urge to roam.

2. At the crack of dawn she loved to glimpse the fading moon, as rich COFFEE aromas rose, to permeate the room. All was quiet and so peaceful in the early morn, just as if the earth, with each new sunrise, was reborn.

3. When she sat to sip her coffee from her China cup, she thought that, later, she might STROLL down, to the bakery shop.

4. Their fresh CROISANTS would complement her homemade applesauce. So, with a smile, she felt that this should surely be a must. Suddenly within her heart she felt a gentle thrill, as she watched a golden sunbeam reach her windowsill.

5. The day promised to bring delight, with sunshine, birds and FLOWERS, and without a doubt be filled, with many cheerful hours. So as the little country mouse sipped coffee for a while, she dreamt of lovely summer days, with a delightful smile.

Make Every Moment Count!

1. When frustration rears its ugly head, chase it away! This will spare you from confusion and utter dismay. Life can be a magnet that will draw temptations near, but these will all be thwarted when we TRUST and do not fear.

2. Each time we lose our peace we simply can’t enjoy our day, and just cannot believe within our hearts this is God’s way. PEACE beyond all understanding He has vowed to give, that guards our hearts and rests our minds as long as we may live.
3. Stop accepting OBLIGATIONS others might demand, and do the things that bring you peace that are closer at hand.
4. I’ve found when something is God’s Will, that I experience peace, accompanied by reassurance and a CALM release. Sincerely I believe when God created each of us, that He desired we find His Perfect Will with faith and trust.
5. I’m sure that He would like to see us make each moment count, but this can only happen if confusion we surmount. So choose your actions wisely and reject needless demands, and with CONTENTMENT you'll be cradled safe within His hands.
“And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”  Philippians 4:7

Life's Changing Course

1. Do not be discouraged if your life is changing course. If you are not responsible you should not have remorse. As a vessel traveling on a calm or stormy sea, at times is REDIRECTED and may seem to go astray, so too our lives can take an unexpected turn of fate, but all will become clear to us if patiently we wait.

2. Apprehension may occur when we are faced with change, although despite some doubts our MINDSET we can rearrange.

3. Our path in life ahead of us with every twist and turn, will bring enlightenment and valuable LESSONS we should learn. If we would just approach each curve with great expectant faith, we just might be astounded at the strength it could create.

4. God has a REASON for each detour that we chance to meet, and with His powerful assistance we conquer defeat. But the real beauty when our life is changing course, is that our God who’s planned something much better is the source.

5. So instead of being disappointed have great hope, that God will not abandon you but will help you to cope. Have expectant faith that He is just about to send, something GRANDER that is waiting just around the bend!
