Recipe for Peace

1. Soft white clouds.  A starry night.  
Days that put all fears to flight.
Napping under sheltering tree.  
Restful STROLLS along the sea.
Happiness that has been roused 
up in a plane above the clouds.
On a comfy cozy couch, 
at home, as quiet as a mouse.

2. Nibbling popcorn.  Sipping tea.  
Watching movies on TV.
A crackling fire.  A barbecue.  
Shish kebab on shining skewer.
PICNICKING within a park, 
in daytime or ‘till it grows dark.
Endearing thoughts of childhood, 
in summertime or winter’s cold.
Frolicking through colored leaves, 
all fallen from the autumn trees.

3. Sleepovers and camping trips.  
At the BEACH, refreshing dips.
Relaxing on a sunny day 
while lunching at a small café.
Drives through cozy country towns, 
enjoying tranquil sights and sounds.
Hot fudge sundaes.  Tasty treats.  
Sports events in stadium seats.

4. Roasting marshmallows at night, 
on a stick in firelight.
Hot dogs sizzling on a grill, 
with everyone eating their fill.
Basking in the morning sun, 
instead of being on the run.
COOKIES baking in the oven.  
Chocolate chips that smell like heaven.
Sipping on a glass of wine, 
when going out with friends to dine.

5. Candy bars and crunchy chips, 
delectable with tasty dips.
Laughter, smiles and joyful cries.  
FUN, and every sweet surprise!
Winding down through peaceful night, 
with thoughts of daytime put to flight.
