A Blade of Grass

1. Our lives are like a blade of grass.
The Bible tells us so.
We all are here today
and gone tomorrow, we should know.
As we build ourselves and families up,
with such prestige,
secretly, we beg God for His COURAGE,
on our knees.

2. We all can be so insecure at times,
when troubles come,
but then become puffed up with pride,
as soon as they are gone.
How can we be so arrogant,
when Jesus came to earth,
displaying, by His death humility's
unfathomed WORTH.

3. He tells us, pride precedes a fall,
but HONOR a reward
for those who seek to humbly bow,
before their Sovereign Lord.

3. What will it take for us to see
our insignificance,
in contrast to our Heavenly Father's
great MAGNIFICENCE!
We've but to look at Mary,
our Sweet Mother and our Queen,
who's virtues were enormous,
though kept hidden and unseen.
Let Mary be a lesson for us all
upon this earth,

4. So in humility, we will
acknowledge its great worth.
We must remember always
that HUMILITY is the key,
for it's the virtue that will help us
win eternity!

"All people are like grass,
and all their glory is like
the flowers of the field;
the grass withers
and the flowers fade.”
1 Peter 1:24
