The Immaculate Conception

1. One day long ago there was conceived a holy child, who was blest within her mother’s womb so meek and mild. Her mother was advanced in years and happy to conceive, this blessed child from God above in whom she had believed. Anne named her daughter Mary since for her entire life, she would be offered up to God in loving SACRIFICE.

2. Mary grew in meekness and HUMILITY each year, while God filled her with every grace and calmed her every fear. She was blest among all women chosen for His Son, to nourish guide and care for Him until His life was done.

3. She would raise Him from a child with Joseph at her side. Jesus then would honor them while in their home  abide. Working next to Joseph doing carpentry by day, Jesus must have saved much time to talk with them and pray. We can just imagine how much LOVE that filled their home, as He embraced their cares and dreams and made them all His own.

4. Mary was conceived IMMACULATE so she could bear, the Son of God within her womb as she adored Him there. It is only fitting that our Savior would prefer, the very humblest maiden
upon entering this world.

5. Do not find it strange that God would purify her womb, any more than we desire to beautify our home. We should make our dwelling place as lovely as can be, fashioning it from our greatest hopes and fondest dream. Chosen to bear Jesus and to be our Heavenly QUEEN, God created Mary’s soul immaculately clean!

The House Meant Just for Me

1. There is a little cozy house that was just meant for me, so with my husband we could raise a happy FAMILY. The rooms are all a perfect size with walls of lovely colors, where we enjoy our daytime chores and restful evening hours.

2. This is our home where LOVE abides each hour of the day, and all our friends are welcome in a very special way. The dinners pastries snacks and cocktails cheerfully prepared, are even more enjoyable the moment they are shared.

3. This house is where I want to live until the day I die, when I will finally move into my home above the sky. Since it has been God’s gift to me and of eternal worth, I’ll cherish MEMORIES forever of this house on earth. I never will forget the homemade meals and grateful prayers, the lovely yard front porch and flowers that lifted all our cares.

4. My fondest wish for those who read this poem is that they find, true happiness CONTENTMENT and a lasting peace of mind. I've found them in the simple things in life, I'd like to share. In all of God’s creation you will find His presence there.

5. So search not for the grandiose but lift your heart above, and lead a humble simple life with all of those you love. Regrets will be replaced with every happy memory, that with your loved ones you will share for all ETERNITY!

St. Michael the Archangel

1. St. Michael the Archangel so mighty in power lavishes help and PROTECTION each hour. Throughout the daytime, at evening or night, he effortlessly puts every evil to flight. Majestically powerful, pious and pure, he maintains an aura so meek and demure. Myriad angels each placed in his hands, fly to our aide at his loving commands.

2. He scans the earth’s surface for all those in need, with ears finely tuned as we fervently plead. Filled with a heart overflowing with LOVE, he knows what our hopes and our dreams are made of. Commissioned by God to assist us each day, he guides us preventing that we go astray.

3. The Choirs of Angels’ Commander and Chief, God appointed him based on his love and belief. We can only imagine just how it would be, in the presence of his such intense purity. Meditate prayerfully from time to time, on St. Michael’s relationship with our God so sublime. It’s a perfect example of one so PRISTINE, who Almighty God holds in the highest esteem.

4. Each year on St. Michael’s most holy feast day, let us honor and thank him in some special way. There is nothing I feel He’d appreciate more, than if fervently for God’s Perfect Will we implore. On the twenty-ninth day of September each year, let us think of St. Michael and know he is NEAR.

5. Remember the other archangels as well, his comrades St. Gabriel and St. Raphael. The truth is my friend, and this isn’t a myth, that on countless occasions they have saved us from death. If you honor St. Michael until your life ends, he will always remain your devoted FRIEND. And then when the sweetness of death your life brings, he’ll escort you to heaven on his mighty wings!

In My Lovely Garden

1. In my lovely garden I am thankful for God’s pardon. Having set my spirit free, with mercy He has gifted me, and PEACE to the highest degree, so my soul would not harden.

2. On my cozy loveseat, experiencing a retreat, as silence permeates the air the colored blooms at which I stare all make me feel keenly aware it's God’s presence I now greet. Fuchsia colored tulips, so radiant tend to eclipse, the cheerful yellow daffodils beneath inviting windowsills while in my home their FRAGRANCE fills sharing with me their sweet bliss.

3. When quiet time approaches, my glance skips to my roses.  Both red and white are pure DELIGHT at morning afternoon or night uplifting my soul into flight, the a haven where my heart rests.

4. Majestic purple foxglove, which I have always dreamed of, each lift their mini trumpet bloom in hopes the Lord is coming soon, rejoicing beneath sun and moon, spreading on earth their pure LOVE. And so my lovely garden, for me will always hearten. The flowers bathed in radiant sun, all dance in breezes having fun as I am cherishing each one, whose splendor is my fortune.

5. At night when I retire, before the crackling fire, the moment I begin to pray I entertain sweet DREAMS of day and thank God for His bounteous way, to which I will aspire.

The Most Peaceful Time of All

1. When I close my eyes at night as I lie down to sleep, it's easy to imagine many people counting sheep. Others might be anxious then to enter slumber soonbut I enjoy this time of CALM uninterrupted swoon.
2. Activities of daytime cause me to anticipate, the inner calm seclusion and the quiet times of late. While many now are fast asleep I love to think of things, that fill my heart with joy and all that pure CONTENTMENT brings.
3. The only sound that can be heard are quiet drops of rain, so SOOTHING to my spirit as they tap my windowpane.
4. While I am breathing restfully my body then procures a deep state of SERENITY relaxing all my nerves.
5. Sinking even deeper into the peaceful night, I close my eyes to darkness that reveals an inner light. FLOATING then amidst my happy thoughts which are so deep, contentedly and gently I serenely fall asleep.

Crickets Late at Night

1. Sitting in my darkened room before going to sleep, I enjoyed the CHIRPING of a cricket’s gentle peep. It sounded very rhythmic each chirp making me smile, and so I sat with my eyes closed and listened for a while. The wee hours of the morning,
more precisely two am, though most others were fast asleep I did not envy them.
2. Sipping on a little glass of wine right before bed, easily helped form these poetry words within my head. The day had been just lovely and the weather toasty warm, which would bring HEALING to whoever may have felt forlorn.
3. And now it was the time that I looked forward to all day, when most others were fast asleep in their own tranquil way. This is when it’s easiest to connect with God, who keeps us company until our heads begin to nod. Inviting us to slumber with our head upon His breast, He gives us REASURRANCE that He always knows what's best.
4. Worries quickly fade within His unconditional love, and every care is washed away with grace poured from above. The crickets and the gentle sounds of nighttime soothe our soul, creating us anew as we are once again made whole. If we take the time to stop and listen to each sound, the healing and CONTENTMENT we receive will be profound.
5. Becoming very drowsy I began nodding my head, and knew that it was time to crawl into my cozy bed. My contemplation brought delight and wisdom far beyond, the things of earth as if someone had waved a magic wand. The sounds all became quiet and I barely heard a peep. Then bathed in pure TRANQUILITY, I soon was asleep.

Focus on Only One Thing at a Time!

1. Make sure that you focus on only,
one single thing at a time.
This will release fears and worries,
and free worthless cares from your mind.
The reason why this is a wise thing,
is that it will keep your mind free
to take PLEASURE in every moment,
and all of the beauty you see.

2. At times when you feel overwhelmed,
by the things that you need to get done,
image they are all completed,
and then take a STROLL in the sun!
Realize that every morning,
will always bring new things to do,
but if you do not wake tomorrow,
someone else will complete them for you!

3. Recognize that you can only,
do one single thing at a time,
so save yourself grief and confusion,
and try focusing on the SUBLIME.
The world does not rest on your shoulders.
If you were not here things would be
performed by a capable person,
who might do them more orderly!

4. Take my advice and the next time,
you feel you should plan out your day,
to really be happy and peaceful,
just toss your ideas away!
Select only the most important,
task or errand that you wish to do,
then let it bring joy and CONTENTMENT,
and much satisfaction to you.

5. Let all of your other thoughts vanish,
and enjoy every moment each day.
Ensure calm SERENITY governs,
everything you do and say.
Remember to concentrate always,
on one single thing at a time,
For ridding your mind of confusion,
will lift it right to the sublime!
