When Acts of Love Become a Prayer

1. Many times in life 
our acts of LOVE, become a prayer.
It's advantageous to our souls, 
of this we are aware.

2. What merit is there in a prayer, 
if someone is in NEED,
while we sit praying, when in fact 
their anguish we can heed?

3. There will be times in life that seem 
too burdensome for us
to cater to another’s needs, 
so we must humbly TRUST
that God has chosen someone else 
to volunteer their help,
and then release all sentiments of guilt, 
we may have felt.

4. However, other times, 
when we’re led deep within our soul
to offer someone our assistance, 
or to help CONSOLE,
our actions manifest themselves, 
into a humble prayer,
and in that act of love, 
Almighty God is present there.

5. Remaining close to Him, 
with our awareness every day,
in quietness and confidence, 
His love will point the way.
Whenever you forego reflection, 
lending time to SHARE,
your act of love is radiantly 
transformed into a prayer!

“And do not forget to do good 
and to share with others,
for with such sacrifices 
God is pleased.” Hebrews 13:16

“In quietness and confidence 
shall be your strength.” Isaiah 30:15

The Eye of God

1. The clouds can never be too dark
to allow the eye of God

to see us through the darkness 
and restore the paths we’ve trod.

He WATCHES in the morning
as we wake from slumber’s rest

and keeps His eye upon us 
as we're put through every test.
His eye is sometimes stern with those 
who cause us grief and pain,

but always softens with repentance 
time and time again.

2. Within His eye is MAJESTY, 
great sovereignty, and love,

encompassing the graces that 
our dreams are fashioned of.

If you take the time to search 
down deep into God’s eye,

you’ll sense that He is listening 
to your every heartfelt sigh.

3. He longs for you to realize 
how much He truly cares,

while sending signs and messages 
He generously shares.

His eye needs never blink a moment, 
observing constantly

wherever you might journey, 
whether calm or stormy sea.

The eye of God has POWER to bid 
the darkest clouds away.

If He chooses not to, trust that 
by your side He’ll stay.

4. It will only be a moment, 
in eternal time,

before the clouds will pass, 
and once again the sun will shine.

God’s eye will then appear to call you 
into love’s embrace.

so with your spiritual eyes you just might 
glimpse God’s Holy FACE.

5. A momentary glance from God 
can shake the earth and sky

creating or destroying 
in a single moment’s time.

We should be enthralled He looks 
upon us, with such LOVE,

and showers endless gifts and grace
from paradise above.

Praise His awesome countenance and 
allow your heart to throb,

as you behold His face and look 
into the eye of God!

All Flees Before His Mighty Power!

1. AFRAID of what might lie ahead?
All will flee before His power!
Is the unknown what you dread?
He walks beside you every hour.

2. Wondering how to calm your fears?
The prayers you say He always hears.
When want and need start to preside,
humbly TRUST Him to provide.

3. Each time despair darkens your day,
know that He will light your way.
If sickness tries attacking you,
feel His HEALING through and through.

4. All His gifts try to employ.
This life He gave you to ENJOY!
See beauty in each flower and song.
He’s smiling as you stroll along.

5. If your life is at its end,
your soul from Satan He’ll defend.
When weary of all earthly strife,
look forward to your heavenly life!
Remember every happy hour,
all flees before His mighty POWER! 

In the Garden of Gethsemane

1. In the Garden of Gethsemane, Jesus PRAYED for you and me.  Falling down upon His knees, God devoutly heard His loving pleas. With a few disciples near, He soon began to faint and fear.

2. Anticipating certain death, He labored with each weary breath.  Suffering He would have to die while those He loved would wonder why.  Sweating even drops of blood, FEAR consumed Him as a flood.  His disciples were asleep, while His concern grew ever deep.

3. They awoke at His command.  Their hour to pray was now at hand.  Because we seldom might REFLECT, we should try hard not to neglect, what took place that lonely day when Jesus prayed our fears away.

4. He placed upon His cross our cares, and to this day our sorrow bears.  Desiring that we lean on Him, He took away our every sin.  Giving us fullness of LIFE, His love dispels our doubt and strife.  Go to Him and meditate, His blessings and your wondrous fate!

5. Ask Him to RENEW your heart.  The time is now that you should start.  In the suffering of that hour ponder His almighty power in how Jesus bid Satan flee, that night within Gethsemane!

1. Go to Jesus, come what may,  

who WAITS within your heart each day,

hoping you will notice Him, 
and leave behind all guilt and sin.

Go to Him when you are lonely 
or become distressed,

to receive His endless gifts, 
with which you will be blessed.

2. FIND Him in the morning, 
afternoon, or late at night.

He will change your pain  
and weariness into delight.

When the stars begin to twinkle, 
gently in the sky,

your dreams and each desire 
He will help you satisfy.

3. When your world is caving in 
and life has gone askew,

RUN to Jesus and He quickly will 
make all things new.

Rest your head upon His shoulder.  
Bathe within His smile.

Offer Him your aching heart 
for just a little while.

He will not prolong your agony, 
but give you peace.

As sure as sunshine follows rain, 
He’ll bid your worries cease.

4. Jesus is the only ANSWER 
to life’s trials and pain. 

In Him alone your strength
and happiness you will regain.

The angels bow at His command.  
The heavens shout for joy,

as all creation praises Him 
with one adoring sigh.

We can only pray to 
comprehend His majesty,

though we are very limited, 
in our mortality.

5. His ways are not our ways, 
for they are high above the earth.

So His devoted love to us
should show us our great WORTH!

Jesus waits for us within our hearts,
our whole life long,

with a smile upon His face, 
and in His heart a song.

Do not let a day go by, 
without His grace and love,

for He will shower you with

everything, you’re dreaming of!

"As the heavens are higher than the earth,

so are my ways higher than you ways

and my thoughts higher than your thoughts."

Isaiah 55:9
