Sitting in a Quiet Chapel

1. Sitting in a quiet chapel 
peacefully at noon,

thoughts like very lovely flowers, 
soon began to bloom.

My heart was filled with sunshine studded boats, 
that sailed by,

while cheerful colored SONGBIRDS 
happily flew through the sky

2. A PICNIC table sitting on a hill, 
above the lake,

was set with tablecloth and dishes, 
sandwiches and cake.

Delightful friends enjoyed their meal, 
all chatting as they ate,

with sunshine and blue skies reflecting
on them from the lake.

My thoughts then shifted to 
a cozy neighborhood of homes,

where the contented dwellers 
seldom found the need to roam.

3. The HOUSES were so colorful, 
all painted various shades,

with charming flower gardens 
at which people loved to gaze.

Driving down the winding streets 
was picturesque and fun,

and was a favorite pastime, 
after work and chores were done.

4. My thoughts then drifted 
to some peaceful, cozy starlit nights,

where crackling fires in a hearth, 
put every care to flight.

Anyone outside that might be 
strolling by could see

the warming FIRE flickering
and glowing tranquilly.

Soon when my awareness 
had resumed its state of prayer,

I sat in gratitude 
before the tabernacle there. 

5. I thanked God for 
the very special visit of His love,

and all the grace and blessings 
that He showers from above.

He reaffirmed to me, 
whenever peace I wish to find,

to nurture lovely thoughts, like FLOWERS, 
deep within my mind.

Silhouettes

1. Silhouettes create
beautiful images everywhere,
but go unnoticed
since we're very often unaware.
Just a shadow of
the many objects they reflect,
their pristine perfection
has a MAGICAL effect.

2. They are much more soothing
than their counterpart because
every one is black
when silhouetted by the sun.
Some of the most lovely silhouettes
are close at hand,
like trees along the road
or at the BEACH upon the sand.
 
3. Shining sun through curtained WINDOWS
sheds a lovely scene
upon the wall to make one feel
so peaceful and serene.
Other unique silhouettes
of things within your home
are waiting to be noticed
as so beautifully they're shown.

4. It's funny how we always look
at objects all around,
but never think to gaze upon
their shadows on the ground.
We rarely look at silhouettes
upon the ground or walls
that have been cast by objects
where the LIGHT randomly falls.

5. I especially love, when
there's a BREEZE within the room,
to see the curtains' shadow
on the wall so gently move.
It gives a tranquil feeling
and I sense my spirit sway,
as it brings serenity
and calm into my day.
Someday when you're not pursuing
great or lofty things,
observe a silhouette and find
the quiet joy it brings!

Cupcakes!

1. I love  CUPCAKES more than 

anyone can realize.

The fact they boost my spirits 

is the reason, I surmise!

Whether they are cakes of yellow, 

chocolate, pink or white,

frosted in such lovely shades 

they bring me pure delight!

Garnished with some nuts or sprinkles, 

flowers and cherries too,

they can please the senses 

with such flavor through and through!

2. Attractively arranged 

on a unique pedestal plate,

will give you something very luscious
to anticipate!

If you are baking them yourself 

be sure that you prepare

a quite tempting variety 

that you have planned with care.

3. Pink and yellow, blue and red 

are great colors to choose.

Mix and match the cakes and FROSTING 

with some varied hues.

Always try including chocolate 

to your menu plan,

which is such a favorite 

to both women and to men.

4. Now prepare a cozy gathering 

with some close friends,

brewing your own COFFEE 

with a tasty unique blend.

Set your table with some 

antique china plates and cups

which will enhance the ambiance 

with just the perfect touch.

5. When the night is ended 

and your guests have all gone home,

you can sample one more cupcake 

while you’re all alone.

In the peaceful atmosphere 

as stars shine in the night,

thoughts of your most pleasant evening 

will bring such DELIGHT!

There’s More of a Chance of a Miracle!

1. There’s more of a chance of a miracle, 

than Satan would have you believe,

since God is incredibly LOVING, 

much more so than you can conceive.

The chance is much greater He’ll heal you, 

from sickness, distress, or disease.

His wisdom is incomprehensible, 

and it’s you He is longing to please.

2. Satan will flood you with warnings, 

that disaster and death lie ahead,

and if it is he that you follow, 

it’s by doom that you’ll surely be led.

The truth is that Satan is powerless, 

in the shadow of Almighty God,

your fearless and wondrous Creator, 

who’s PROTECTED the paths you have trod.

3. The power of God can’t be fathomed, 

nor His mercies be ever outdone.

His love is a bottomless ocean, 

and more brilliant than the brightest sun.

Just when you think you’re forsaken, 

He will lift you with His MIGHTY arm,

leading you quickly to safety, 

and sheltering you from all harm.

4. There is more of a chance God will save you, 

than that you will be lost and distraught.

God promises this the bible, 

where His concepts are precisely taught.

Realize that you were created, 

for an important MISSION in life,

to bring about justice and kindness, 

to all burdened with sorrow and strife.

5. Envision a loving Creator, 

who desires His children are blessed

with all of His mercy and HEALING, 

and the gifts He desires they possess.

I’m sure you will then finally realize, 

as you see all God’s graces unfurled,

that there’s more of a chance of a miracle, 

than of anything else in this world!

Hopeless Situations

1. The hopeless situations in your life 

that grow so dim,

your loving Father up in heaven

specializes in.
When honestly you feel that there

is no way of escape,

miraculously a DOOR will open, 

pointing to your fate.

2. When all of those around you seem 

to wallow in despair,

just beyond their sorrow, you will see 

God waiting there.

He is a master of creating 

HOPE and happiness,

and with unconditional love, 

desires nothing less.

3. Sin brought pain and suffering, 

into this poor world of ours,

but God’s almighty MIRACLES are

as countless as the stars! 
I’ve seen more of them in my lifetime, 

then I dare to dream,

though to our awesome God 

so elementary must seem.

4. The bible tells us that

He stopped the heavens in their track.

He parted the Red Sea, and from the dead 

brought Jesus back.

No greater MARVEL has been told, 

since all of time began,

but was incorporated, brilliantly, 

within God’s plan!

5. Why not meditate, upon 

these miracles my friend.

They’ll strengthen you, 

and you will be enlightened in the end.

In hopeless situations, 

when you don’t know what to do,

Trust in your Almighty Father’s POWER, 

to see you through!

“So, the sun stood still, and the moon stopped,
