1. A cool ocean breeze,

the warmth of the SUN,

with soft sandy beach

united as one.

Pure waters of blue

with boats sailing by

below graceful birds

that soar through the sky.

2. All nature at peace

while earth is at rest,

as all of creation

from heaven is blest.

Then in the evening

the STARS twinkling bright,

winking at mankind

and brightening the night.

3. The CLOUDS are at slumber,

the sun is at rest.

How God's orchestration

and wisdom know best!

The crickets and locusts

have stories to tell

how all of creation

is nurtured and well.

4. And soon as a blanket

of sleep is upon

the earth, all its creatures

will rest until dawn.

At onset of morning

to wake by the kiss

of their own CREATOR

ensures perfect bliss.

5. Beginning each day

in His warming embrace,

creation can gaze

on His glorious face.

As He gently guides

everyone by the hand,

His fatherly LOVE

we will all understand!

1. When the sun is HIDDEN 
and the clouds cover the sky,
when the day is drab 
and you cannot but wonder why,

you might feel listless

with much less incentive too.

There might not be anything

you really wish to do.

2. Here's a simple antidote

to feel better soon.

It is very easy

and will brighten up the room.

Pretend the sun is shining brilliantly

throughout the day.

It will make each MOMENT shine

in a delightful way.

3. Our outlook and our moods all stem

from feelings deep within.

We can program happiness

to feel good again!

Just the thought of SUNSHINE

brings to us such joy,

and images that we retain

the world cannot destroy!

4. We each have a computer file

with data in our mind.

Program yours with POSITIVITY

and you will find

that if you wish the sun was out

and clouds would pass away,

envisioning it shining

quickly brightens up the day!

5. Do not let the weather steal

your peace and happiness,

causing you subconsciously

optimism to suppress.

Utilize the power source

that God chose to supply.

Pretend the sun is shining

BRILLIANTLY up in the sky!

When It’s Pouring Rain

1. When it’s pouring RAIN outside 

it seems to slow us down.

We may start the day out listless, 

even with a frown.

2. We don’t always realize 

how GOOD it is for us,

so we complain and mope about 

creating such a fuss.

3. If we would try to think of 

how the plants and trees REJOICE

at every tiny raindrop 

as they raise a joyful voice,

we may just be happy 

even when it’s pouring rain,

realizing that the sun 

will soon come out again.

4. Spend this time in catching up 

on things you’d like to do,

that you have postponed every time 

the sun came shining through.

CLEANING out a basement 

or a closet could be fun,

and other things that you neglect 

when you are on the run.

5. So remember on the days 

when it is pouring rain,

choose a PLEASANT task 

until the sun comes out again!

Count Your Blessings!

1. Remember to count your blessings
every time you are feeling blue,
to open the curtains of your soul
and let the SUNSHINE through.

2. I once was told whenever 
you are saddened or depressed,
begin to count your BLESSINGS,
and you soon will feel at rest.

3. The list of ways in which you're blest
will go on endlessly,
proving you are FORTUNATE
to a very high degree.

4. Thank God for His gracious gifts
at dusk and every dawn,
and you will quickly realize that
the list goes on and on.
This will leave no room for dreary thoughts 
within your mind, 
since they will be replaced 
with GRATEFUL ones of every kind.
While you are feeling happy
you simply cannot feel blue,
for happiness will stir the gifts
of peace and joy in you.

5. If emptiness approaches,
please remember at the start
to count your every blessing,
so God's JOY can fill your heart!

The Beauty of Each Day

1. Every morning when you awake, 
do not forget to say,

“No matter what the weather, 

I’ll find beauty in this day!”

When drizzling and overcast, 

you might just hear the ring

of cheerful birds outside your window 

as they dance and sing.

The gently falling RAINDROPS 

is like music to their ears,

and if you stop and listen, 

to your life it could add years.

2. When the sky is dark 

and there’s a thunderstorm or two,

hear God’s majestic voice and sense 

His mighty power anew.

Every time it’s WINDY, 

feel your cares all whisked away,

and in their wake the promise 

of another brand new day.

3. When the SNOW is falling softly, 

look up to the sky

as you image angel feathers 

drifting from on high.

On wintry days come up with an idea 

to make them fun,

or hibernate a bit, 

instead of being on the run.

4. If the HEAT is too extreme, 

and just too warm for you,

plan a little shopping spree

where it is nice and cool.

Each day has much to offer 

when you open up your eyes.

And it might even leave you 

with a pleasurable surprise!

5. POSITIVITY attracts 

the best in every day,

while we enhance the lives of others 

by the things we say.

Expand your mind and heart

so you will always be aware

of what each day is offering you, 

and find the beauty there!

"Let my teaching fall on you like rain,

and my words settle like dew,

like raindrops on new grass

and like gentle showers on young plants" 

Deuteronomy 32:2

Let Go and Let God!

1. Leg go and let God
rule the world every day.

Stop controlling people 
by the things you do or say.

Lift all pain and sadness 
now in prayer to God on high.

REST within His arms 
and solely on His strength rely.

2. Relinquish every burden 
letting each one drift away.

Offer your desires 
in a spiritual bouquet.

Let your memories of the past 
with all its hurts DISSOLVE.

Traveling light without a care 
should be your firm resolve.

3. Let your worries go 
and let God solve your every need.

TRUST Him now implicitly 
however you may plead.

See a rainbow in the sky 
that promises your dreams

will one day all come true and shine 
like glistening moonbeams.

4. Lift your heart to God 
and feel light like never before.

Sense your spirit rising 
and your soul begin to SOAR.

Let God stir within you 
His refreshing breath of life.

Allow Him in your soul to have 
His flame of love ignite.

5. Abandon earth's absorption, 
to ponder heavenly things.

Receive the insights and the grace 
that CONTEMPLATION brings.

Rise up from rigidity 
and melt restraint away.

Fly to all that's holy, good, 
and chaste, without delay.

Let go and let God decide 
and govern all the land.

Leave discernment and control 
in His almighty hand!
