The Country Mouse’s Sunshiny Morning

1. One morning when the country mouse, 

was straightening her cozy house,

She saw SUNSHINE beaming through, 

her window with its radiant hue.

It bathed the furniture in light, 

after a most peaceful night.

 

2. She had made a tasty MEAL, 

which had a small hometown appeal.

Eating it in her backyard, 

was such a pleasurable reward,

while sitting by a flaming torch,

beside the trellis’ rose strewn arch.

 

3. Now from her kitchen window seat,

she began refocusing.

She thought she'd sit out on the porch,

the thing she loved so very much.

With home baked COOKIES, just a few,

some fresh hot coffee she would brew.

Walking to the window sill,

she peeked outside and felt a thrill,

 

4. Two hummingbirds fluttered around,

and buzzed their quiet droning sound.

As tiny heads they gently perked,

she smiled while joyfully they chirped.

Her FLOWERS brightened up the scene,

their colors lovely and serene.

 

5. Luring her to come and sit,

she would relax, nibble and sip.

And so, the little country mouse,

contented in her cozy HOUSE,

Had a very pleasant day,

spent in the most delightful way!

My Poems Are All About Life

1. My poems are all about LIFE,

as lived in a practical way.

Their intent is to bring hope and cheer,

adding beauty to every new day.

They are not geared toward sensationalism,

but to give new awareness of things

that we sometimes might take for granted,

forgetting the joy each one brings.

2. My poetry is centered on FAMILY,

household chores, and a deep faith in God,

Assuring you He’s walked beside you,

along all the paths that you’ve trod.

When I write a poem it essentially

is based on my thoughts and beliefs.

I often will share God’s great blessings

or even occasional griefs.

3. I relish those meditations

that bring HOMEY thoughts to my mind.

Undoubtedly, life in a small town

is my favorite subject I find.
Large towns can be so exciting,

but could make it more difficult at times

to keep life uncomplicated,

so true goals are easier to find.

4. Truly the world’s great diversity

is certainly a magnificent plan

designed by God’s Masterful Intellect

and created by His great command.

We all have been made quite uniquely

each one of us part of a whole;

a MOSAIC not fully assembled,

but will be when we've reached life's goal.

5. As I continue my poetry,

I hope that it will suffice

in conveying a message of beauty

in the world, and a great love of life.

Condensing my thoughts into one line

it certainly would just be this:

ENJOY every moment in this life,

for you’re destined for eternal bliss!

Make Life Fun!

1. Don't make life a drudgery
but try to make it FUN.
Do things at a slower pace
and not just on the run.
Try sprucing your wardrobe,
while you're shining up your smile.
Do something your love to do.
Enjoy yourself awhile!

2. Buy yourself a special GIFT
to brighten up your day.
You will be surprised 
at how much joy it brings your way!
Treat yourself sometime
to some activity you feel
would bring you pleasure
like a movie or a tasty meal.

3. When you're in the mood
to be with family or a friend,
do something to cheer them,
as your time with them you spend.
When you do unwanted tasks,
be sure you really try
to afterward REWARD yourself
to lift your spirits high!

4. Everything you do in life
try to inject with LOVE.
God will then inhabit 
all your actions from above.
All it takes is just a moment
to say to yourself,
"How can I enhance this action
for my joy and health?"

5. If you're helping others
try to do it cheerfully.
Lightening their load 
will make yours lighter too you'll see.
Just like any smile can brighten
someone else's day.
Making your life FUN 
will bless you in a special way!

Mary, Queen of Angels

1. Oh, Mary Queen of Angels, 

clothed in splendor without bound,

in you, an endless peace 

and heavenly comfort I have found.

Your beauty is unprecedented, 

not to be surpassed,

and adorned with such HUMILITY, 

so rare and vast.

 

2. Chosen for our Savior, 

from before the world began,

to be his purest Mother, 

was God's exalted plan.

The angels pay you homage, 

as Christ’s Mother and their Queen.

They find a refuge in your presence, 

and heart so SERENE.

 

3. You bore the Son of God 

within your PURE, virginal womb,

inspiring us with hope, 

that Jesus may be coming soon.

We know that you will never fail, 

to grant our every plea,

as you continue as Christ’s Mother, 

through eternity.

This alone is cause, 

for all the angels to rejoice,

as they sing your praises,

in one grand celestial voice.

 

4. Every person needs a mother, 

all throughout their life,

a REFUGE from their disappointments, 

tragedies, and strife.

You’ve been chosen for 

our Heavenly Mother, in God's love,

to comfort and to guide us, 

to our heavenly home above.

 

5. The angels help your earthly children, 

to become aware

of how greatly that you love them, 

and how much you care.

We thank you, Dearest Mother, 

for your graces and your LOVE,

and hail you as the Queen 

of all the Angels, up above!

One Early Morning Mist

1. One early misty morning

when all others were asleep, 

I went outside to find a quieting 

CELESTIAL scene.

It made me feel that heaven neared 

and bid a fond hello,

to reassure that it is with me 

everywhere I go.

 

2. I smiled and nodded to acknowledge 

my fond gratitude,

and by its presence it refreshed 

my mental attitude.

I find it quite amazing 

how an image in our mind

can alter and enhance our thoughts 

right up to the SUBLIME.

 

3. Though heaven is all around us, 

we still fail to be aware,

distracted by material things 

and their alluring glare.

Peaceful thoughts allow us 

to feel wrapped in love’s EMBRACE,

where we will find contentment, 

in God’s everlasting grace.

 

4. Look for signs in nature 

that are trying to express

that God is reaching down from heaven 

with a warm CARESS.

Loving us and holding us 

within His heart each day,

He tries expressing this 

in the most unconditional way.

 

5. Our God is mighty, but He loves 

the simple things in life,

for they are the true haven 

that protect our souls from strife.

Notice each phenomenon, 

that draws your heart toward heaven,

and you will find within their charm, 

how God’s BLESSINGS are given!
