All I Want

1. All I want in life is just 
a little act of kindness;
a smile, a hug, a gentle pat,
a word of GRATITUDE.
Life is difficult enough 
surrounded by the ones we love,
so why cause others sorrow 
by a careless attitude.

2. What I treasure most are flames 
that issue from the hearts
of those who act with KINDNESS, 
and the warmth their love imparts.
These acts set in motion 
such a river of true peace
great enough to heal our souls 
and make all worries cease.
Just one demonstration 
of the love of Christ within
is strong enough to steer a heart 
away from doubt or sin.

3. A simple SMILE from just a stranger 
can renew our hope,
filling us with cheer, 
instilling strength to help us cope.
We don't always realize 
the power in a smile,
though seeming small at first, 
will gain momentum in a while.

4. When someone is grateful for 
the things that we have done,
it brightens up our hearts just like 
the brilliant noonday sun!
What we really need in life 
are true and sincere friends;
those who give support and love 
until our journey ends.
Money sifts like grains of sand 
and fame fades like the dusk,
but FRIENDSHIP heals the pain 
inflicted by those who are brusque.

5. I'm quite convinced this need 
is not unique to me alone.
To seek SUPPORT and gratitude, 
I feel we all are prone.
So let this be a message 
to all those it may concern.
Expressing gratitude is a
great lesson we should learn!

Find the Child within You

1. Find the child within you, 
when you feel troubled or blue,
and they will disclose a miracle 
of HEALING through and through.
Searching for experiences, 
from deep within your past,
will reconnect you with the times 
when you’ve been truly blessed.

2. You may feel, when you mature,
 you must let go of things
you treasured in your youth, 
along with joys that each one brings.
There is nothing farther from the truth 
I’d like to say.
for cherished memories 
will COMFORT you along the way.

3. Choose your thoughts most wisely, 
since they truly have the power
to fill you with CONTENTMENT 
or to make you sad and dour.
Having a reunion 
with the things dreamt as a child
is a wholesome antidote
and should not be reviled.

4. Neither is it foolish or unnecessary when
you contemplate your childhood pleasure
time and time again.
As one of the most healing 
and rewarding things to do,
it will lift your spirits 
with a much more CHEERFUL view.

5. Remember, when you take yourself 
too seriously in life,
just find the child within you 
and be filled with pure DELIGHT!

unless you change and become 
like little children, you will never
enter the kingdom of heaven.”

Angels Point the Way!

1. An angel POINTS the way

when you are saddened or confused,
through all of your adversities,
and when you are abused.
Angels hover round us,
and are waiting for each time
that they can bring us healing
for our body and our mind.

2. They provide PROTECTION
for our chosen lifelong quest,
as they guard and lead us
to the way they know is best.
When we doubt or are confused
at times throughout the day,
they are near with outstretched arms
pointing out the way.

3. With smiles upon their faces
and compassion in their eyes,
they desire to comfort us
each time they hear our sighs.
They wrap their WINGS around us,
with solace and great hope,
reminding us they sprinkle
all God's grace to help us cope.

4. God gives angels mighty power
to foil Satan's snare.
He desires that of their presence
we become aware.
In the SILENCE you might hear
the brush of angels' wings,
or a lovely melody
as one so gently sings.

5. With angels all around us
we should never be afraid,
for in their presence
sin and darkness very quickly fade.
LISTEN quietly to what
the angels have to say.
As they help and guide you,
angels always point the way!

"No evil will befall you, nor will
any plague come near your tent.
For He will give His angels charge
concerning you, to guard you
in all your ways." Psalm 91:10-11

Recipe for Life

1. I have tried a recipe
for happiness in life
that will bring you peace of mind
and minimize your strife.
Mix a ball of SUNSHINE
with a splash of gratefulness.
Add some relaxation
that will help decrease your stress.

2. Then mix in REJOICING
for the blessings God has given.
Stir in meditation
how your sins have been forgiven.

3. Add a pinch of LAUGHTER
at each shortcoming and fault,
realizing, for true freedom,
it's your catapult.

4. Then in equal parts mix in
the things you LOVE the most;
both work and play, then rest a moment
giving life a toast!

5. Sprinkle everything with PRAYER
and soon I know you'll see
that you are the proud owner
of life's perfect recipe!

"Finally, brothers, whatever is true,
whatever is noble, whatever is right,
whatever is pure, whatever is lovely,
whatever is admirable, if anything
is excellent or praiseworthy,
think about such things."

My Prayers Are All Thanksgiving!

1. My prayers are all thanksgiving 
in the autumn of my life.
And if I enter winter, 
I will praise God for all strife.
More and more I realize 
His WISDOM in all things,
and all the valuable rewards, 
that every trial brings.
It all depends on whether you 
look up or down you see.
But looking up is always where 
true happiness will be.

2. One of the main substances 
your life should be made of
is trusting your Creator, 
who has formed you out of LOVE.
Just as children cling to parents, 
for safety and hope,
God has all the answers, 
and desires to help you cope.

3. But He goes beyond that,
in His efforts to CONSOLE,
working tirelessly, until
you are completely whole.
I have learned this through experience, 
and wish to share,
the very certain truth 
our loving God is always there.
He might be waiting in the shadows, 
but His brilliant light
will suddenly appear and brighten up
the darkest night.

4. My friend, why wait until you have, 
no other choice but Him?
Open up your heart now, 
and invite His presence in.
He will be your consolation, 
HEALING and delight,
protecting you from danger, 
guarding you with all His might.

5. Shed your fear and take a chance. 
You have nothing to lose.
He WAITS close by, with His great love, 
which He will not refuse.
I can witness to His help, 
through my entire life.
He’s met my every need, 
and has delivered me from strife.
And so to praise and honor Him, 
for all He’s done for me,
My prayers will be thanksgiving 
now, and for eternity!
